Thanksgiving Writing
of
3M Family

The following pieces of creative writing were part of a ‘Thanksgiving Day 2006’ theme.

(These were BONUS efforts… by these students!)

Alyssa’s Thanksgiving Plans…

On Thanksgiving, I go and visit my mama.
She lives in Wetaskiwan.
Every Thanksgiving I do that!

Austin’s Thanksgiving Day Song
(sung to the tune of “Mary Had A Little Lamb)

Mary had a turkey supper,
Turkey supper,
Turkey supper,
Turkey supper,
Mary had a turkey supper,
And then her tummy was full.

Mary had a full tummy,
Full tummy,
Full tummy,
Full tummy,
Mary had a full tummy,
And then she went to sleep!

Pumpkin Tales… by Kayla

Pumpkin, Pumpkin,
Rolled down the hill.

He yelled for help
And his mom came and saved him,
From going in the lake.

“Thank you mom
For saving me
From going in the lake!
I love you!”

Pumpkin Tales… by Kennedy

T. Bull Pumpkin
Rolled down the hill.

Its mother saw him,
So she stopped him.

He said,
“Thank you mom, for saving me
By grabbing me on the hill!
I love you Mom!
Thank you!”

Kristopher’s Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is nice.

Thanksgiving is good.

I can’t wait until Thanksgiving.

I want to eat turkey with stuffing!

Yum!

MORE Pumpkin Tales… by Leona

T. Bull Pumpkin
Rolling down the valley.

His mother saw him,
So she stopped him.

He said,
“Thank you mom
For saving me…
From rolling down the valley, free.
I love you mom!
Thank you!”

Shania’s Thanksgiving Thoughts

When Thanksgiving comes,
I know Halloween will soon be here.

I love Halloween
Because you get a lot of candy at night
And you get dressed up
Sometimes.

Halloween isn’t boring!

by Tamara

Pumpkin, pumpkin,
Is rolling down the hill.

When he got down,
He did not cry.

He saw his mom,
Passing by.

He ran to his mom,
“Hi!”
