The stories here... were their first serious attempt at preparing for the year-end Provincial Examinations in Story Writing.

The Lucky Little Leprechaun

Once upon a time a little leprechaun lived in the deep woods.
Everyday he came out to play on a pile of rocks.
His friends always came out to play with him.
In the end… he was tired and he went back into his house and went to bed.
A Fool’s Gold

Once upon a time there was a bright shamrock that was very powerful.
A leprechaun named Lucky, wanted the shamrock.
The leprechaun thought he would trick the fairies for the shamrock!
He put a pot of (chocolate) GOLD where the shamrock was and he took the shamrock!
Everytime a new shamrock grew back – Lucky came, did his trick and stole the shamrock!
He traded those powerful shamrocks for more and more REAL GOLD!
What a clever leprechaun !
St. Patrick’s Day Poem

“Hooray! It’s St. Patrick’s Day! I’m heading out my door!”
Off to school I will go to learn and have fun too.
Today is St. Patrick’s Day… I’ll wear GREEN clothes that are NEW!
So let’s sing, dance, celebrate… Come join in on the fun!
Let’s all LOVE St. Patrick’s Day… and enjoy it till the day is done!

The Little Leprechaun

Once upon a time lived a strong and powerful little leprechaun who would go around hiding a pot of GOLD.
When he came across a little girl, she captured Lucky and stole his GOLD. When she tried to run off... Lucky tricked her and gave her CHOCOLATE gold.
In the end the girl lived very poor and Lucky lived very rich.
Nobody ever stole Lucky’s gold again!

The leprechaun is magic, handsome, and he’s a hero.
He went to the ‘Land of Elves’ to find a pot of gold, under a powerful rainbow.
Elves cannot go under it, only fairies or magic leprechauns can!
This leprechaun found it and he wanted to share it with every elf in the land. He felt so happy he danced all the way home!
