Halloween Writing
The following songs, sentences, poems and stories were written as part of a Halloween Unit assignment completed by our class of students in the 2000-2001 school year. (October 18-31)

The Witch Who Learned Her Lesson!
One full moon the witch came out of her house. She knocked on the next door neighbour's door and ran away.
The witch then knocked on the second and third neighbour's doors and ran away.
At the next door she knocked on, before she got the chance to run away, someone grabbed her and hit her.
The witch called her cat. Her cat scratched him up.
Now ...the witch never did that again!

The End of the Tricks and Scares!
One restless night, a witch took a trip on her broom.
The witch flew in front of the big blue full moon. She took the trip because she wanted to go to the other side of town, to give a scare and some tricks, to the little kids.
One other time the witch had given a scare and tricks, the kids took their masks, hid on her and gave HER a scare and tricks!
So...then the witch knew she couldn't go across town to scare and give tricks to the kids, no more!

On Halloween night it's going to be scary because there is going to be a ghost in the school!
So let's have a lot of fun because ...it's just fun! Pumpkins are fun because they always glow in the dark. Owls hoot like this ..."Who? Who?" and ghosts howl like this..."Boooo! Boooo!"

Once there was a scary witch in the woods, that scared a kid. The kid was chopping wood, and when the witch scared him he ran away.
When the boy found his house, he told his mom and his mom said,
"Well...you are not going to chop wood no more!"...and he didn't do it at all...ever again!

Once upon a time there was a little boy named David.

He went to a little girl's house. He went into the house and checked the fridge. He grabbed some food and he scared the girl. Then he started to laugh, "Hee, hee, hee!"
After that he went back home and went to sleep.
All the little kids that he had teased, were going to pour water on him.They went into his house and they scared him.
