Welcome: Mr. McGuinness
We come together one last time, at the end of this school year, to thank
the Creator for everything we have shared during this past year
together.
We will thank God for all the people he has given us, all the
things we have learned, and all the special memories we have made.
Today we will celebrate the work we have done, and all that was
accomplished. We will remember the times when we were challenged to
become more than we were, and the times when these seemed to be too
great to overcome. But with the wisdom of our Lord, the guidance of our
teachers, peers and colleagues, we found the strength to meet and
surpass our expectations for the year. We found joy and reasons to
celebrate together.
Let us begin our final celebration, and give thanks to God, for leading
us on this year's journey of life.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,

Our theme this year was "Building God's Kingdom Upon This Rock". When we
first came together as a school family this year, we carved our names
into our class rock. How many of those names are people who are not here
today? How many names of people who are here now, not on those rocks?
At this time, we will remember all those who are now, or have been,
members of our Ben Calf Robe School Family.
As we sing the hymn that we first sang when we presented our rocks, let
us bring in once again, those rocks that have been a symbol of our
year...
"Building God's Kingdom Upon This Rock"

First Reading: Mrs. Bolton
Sister E: We have been on a journey this year; a journey of love, of friendship,
and of learning. Let us now hear the Grade 2's sing about this journey.
Hymn: Journey of Love
Sister E: One thing we have learned more about this year, is what God is like. The
Grade 4's will now sing a hymn about that, for us.

Sister E: We are all given a mission in life.
Some of us know what we will do with our lives, from a very young age.
Some of us know when we're older. No matter what we decide, God wants
all of us to be a 'People of Peace'. The Grade 5's will now sing about
that, in our next hymn.
Hymn: People of Peace
Sister E: Our year together began shortly before the terrible incident of 911. We
will never forget that terrible tragedy, and the way it changed our
world, forever.
At this time we will ask for special prayers, as we end this year
together.

May we continue to show kindness and compassion for others. We pray to
the Lord.
May we continue to show love for God, by praying, taking care of others,
and helping others. We pray to the Lord.
May we continue to build the relationships with our friends, our
families, and our communities. We pray to the Lord.
May we continue to bring comfort to the suffering, and bring healing to
those who need it. We pray to the Lord.
May we continue to work together, to bring peace, understanding and
unity in the world. We pray to the Lord.
May we continue to dream and reach for possibilities that enrich
ourselves and others. We pray to the Lord.
May we continue to be successful in all we do, and share our gifts and
talents to make our world a better to live, laugh and love in. We pray
to the Lord.
Sister E: The Grade 1's will now sing our next hymn, which reminds us to make
'peace in the world' a priority for everyone, everyday, every time.

Sister E: At this point in the celebration, we wish to recognize and thank, those
members of our school family who we know will not be returning to us, in
the Fall.

Sister E: Another group is leaving, but not Ben Calf Robe School. It is the Grade 6 class moving on to Junior High. As a gift to us, the class will sing a song that is very special to them. This song is also very special to the world and to the message of peace. Please listen closely to “Imagine”.

Sister E: Even though this school year is coming to a close, and we must face the
ending of what we have known...it is also a new beginning...the
beginning of a journey into the unknown.
At this time we will hear some special words that remind us that each of
us will leave here...with the gift of KNOWING.

Sister E: We must not forget all that we have done and learned this school year.
We must do more than remember. We must now go out and share this with
the world. The Grade 3's will sing about this in our next hymn.

Sister E: Our final celebration is coming to a close.
